Clowns
Clowns have been scary for me from the start. My parents took me to a parade when I was four and everything was going great until I was unaware a clown had come up behind me and upon realizing it I screamed and cried in terror and my father had to carry me on his shoulders for a bit. Ugh, just awful.

A Ghostly Grip
For a long time, my creative energy has been rather low. I am trying to get back to my old creative self, but it takes time I guess. Hopefully I can break free of the chilling grip of sorrow and once more make monsters. If you suffer from emotional issues like me, know you are not alone.

Scarecrow Killer
I love scarecrows and I wish there were as many horror movies about them as there are vampire films or werewolf movies. What is your favorite scarecrow movie?

Costumes
What are you going to be this year?
I find that I prefer more comfortable costumes as I age. I love dressing as monsters and have on rare occasion been a super hero or two.
Over the years, my favorite has proven to be Dracula, or at least some form of vampire. It is not uncomfortable and can be done with limited resources.
My first vampire costume.
One of two mummies.
I can't see sh!t.
The other mummy, and Snake Plisskin....I thought he was dead?

Nosferatu
I sold this painting recently. Letting go of the things we love isn't easy. People are even harder. The people I have lost in the past few years and those that have simply phased out of my life have been numerous. It is very hard to handle, but we must find a way. This painting went to a couple who's young daughter loves all things horror and Halloween. I hear it is bringing her much joy and that makes letting go a little easier.

Headstones
When it comes to headstones, I think painting them the right way makes a huge difference. Also, I make mine from concrete now. I used Styrofoam for years and it just gets blown all over the place. I will only use it for large objects now, if at all. I also think that a walk in a real graveyard helps to inspire the colors and textures you want to create when painting headstones for your haunt.
Life Gets in the Way Again!
I know I do not have a lot of followers here. Probably less now. My life issues have kept me away, but I am trying to get back at it. I plan to have much more gothic spookiness in the days and weeks to come.
Happy Haunting,
Ethan
